Description
No 7 The Square, including the adjoining wing in East Borough, is a building from the late 18th to early 19th century. It features brick walls with stone angle pilasters and a parapet that conceals the roof. The building has three storeys and brick stacks. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the first and second floors each have four double hung sash windows with glazing bars. The section facing East Borough dates from the early 19th century and has brick walls with a low pitched slate roof supported by bracketed eaves. The ground floor includes a door, which has been blocked, set in a round-headed opening with two orders, the inner order made of rusticated painted stone, and a fanlight with glazing bars. The ground floor also has two double hung sash windows with glazing bars, and the first and second floors each feature three double hung sash windows, some of which are now blocked.
