Description

Wilson and Son is an 18th-century building located on the east side of High Street. It features brick walls laid in Flemish bond with burnt headers and has a tiled roof. The gable at the south end is adorned with moulded brick coping, and there are brick stacks. The building is two storeys tall. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the first floor is fitted with three double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. This structure is also referenced as Monument 35 in the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England.
