Description

Nos. 8 and 9, The Square are early 19th-century buildings. They have brick walls and a slate roof hidden behind a parapet. The buildings are three storeys high. The ground floor now contains modern shop fronts. The first floor has five double-hung sash windows; three retain their original glazing bars, while two have been altered. The second floor also has five double-hung sash windows, all with glazing bars. This property possesses group value due to its contribution to the streetscape. A minor amendment to this listing was made on 27 February 2018.
