Description

Hope House is an 18th-century building located on the east side of Winchester Street in Botley. It is a two-storey structure that was originally a non-symmetrical pair of houses but has since been combined into one. The building features two windows and has a red tile-hipped roof. The walls are constructed of brick in Flemish bond with blue headers and red flush dressings. Notable architectural details include brick dentil eaves, quoins, verticals, flat arches, an oval doorway arch, and a high plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, and there is a modern ground floor bay added to the west side.
