Description
No. 8 Winchester Street is a 17th-century timber-framed house. It is a larger house with a first floor that juts out, supported by carved brackets, one of which is dated. The roof is made of red tiles and is half-hipped. The building has old chimneys and casement windows. The timber framework is constructed with both main and subsidiary elements, incorporating diagonal struts, all of which are filled with brickwork. A boundary wall to the south is constructed of panelled brickwork with panelled piers, dating from the early 19th century.
