Description
The pair of cottages at 1 and 2 Chescombe Lane dates to the 18th century. They are built with a rendered exterior and a thatched roof, with a brick stack positioned near the centre. The cottages are two storeys high and have an irregular arrangement of windows. One front window is a two-light wrought-iron casement with leaded lights. The other front windows are various later timber casements, some with glazing bars. The cottages have three plank doors set within heavy timber surrounds, and protected by timber lintels. To the rear, there are further wrought-iron casements with leaded lights.
