Description
Whitechurch House is a former vicarage, now a private house, built in 1743 and enlarged in 1781, with 19th-century additions. It features English-bond brickwork and a tiled roof with a slate verge, along with brick stacks positioned along the ridge. The building has a dentilled brick eaves course and is two storeys tall with six bays. The ground floor openings are set under rubbed brick flat arches, and there are nine-pane sash windows. The entrance includes a flush panelled door beneath a dentilled timber hood, located in the second bay from the right. The garden front features a 19th-century canted bay with glazing bars that form pointed lights.
Internally, the house has been much altered, but some original features remain, including a fireplace surround, a round-headed archway, and a moulded cornice in the entrance vestibule.
