Description

St Catherines is a cottage with an origin in the 16th century, significantly altered and extended in the 18th century and subsequently with further additions of various dates. The walls are rendered cob, and the roof is thatched with a central brick stack. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with a two-window front. Windows are casements with two and three lights, some featuring full glazing bars and some horizontal glazing bars. A plank door is located near the centre of the facade.

Interior features are said to include reused 15th-century chamfered collar trusses with curved undersides to the collars, and the west room contains a stop-chamfered beam with run-out stops. The house was once divided into two tenements.
