Description

The premises of Sturminster Stores Ltd is an 18th-century shop located on the west side of Market Place in Sturminster Newton. The building is constructed of ashlar stone with rusticated quoins and dressings, topped with a tiled roof featuring a gable end and an end brick stack. It consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high with a five-window range. The shop front, likely added in the early 20th century, has a central door. The upper floor features five sash windows with glazing bars, which are set under flat arches and surrounded by rusticated detailing. A moulded eaves cornice completes the structure.
