Description
The premises of Senior and Godwin is an 18th-century house that has been converted into offices. It features a stucco exterior with rusticated quoins and a slate roof with gable ends and end stacks. The symmetrical facade has two storeys and an attic, comprising five bays. All windows are sash style with glazing bars set under segmental arches. The central gabled dormer includes an open pediment and a pseudo Venetian window with glazing bars, while there are two flanking dormers with glazing bars beneath their own pediments. A projecting 19th-century porch, adorned with banded rustication, has a pediment above the door. Inside, some rooms are decorated with panelling, moulded dado rails, and moulded and partially dentilled cornices. The dog-leg staircase features moulded, ramped handrails along with turned corner newels and balusters.
