Description
Harmshay Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with rubble walls that are roughcast and painted. It features a thatched roof with one gable end and one half-hipped end. The building has two renewed brick stacks, one located at the right-hand gable and the other at the left-hand side. It is 1 and a half storeys high and has four windows, which include both wooden and 20th-century plastic casements. The door is at the right-hand end and has two glazed panels, also from the 20th century. There is a one-bay extension on the left-hand end with plain plastering. Inside, the farmhouse has deep-chamfered beams and a large open fireplace. At the rear, there is an early 20th-century outshut with a tall brick stack at the eaves.
