Description
The Old Bonded Store Flats and Shops Beneath is a former bonded warehouse built in 1830. It is a three-storey building with four window bays, constructed from blue lias stone. The building features an eaves cornice and has door and window openings with three-centred heads. The larger openings alternate with smaller ones, and there are iron-studded double doors set in the larger opening in the third bay from the left on the ground floor.
This building is part of a group that includes Nos 14 to 20 (consecutive), Cobb House flats, the Old Bonded Store flats and shops, and the Shell Shop. The Customs House on Cobb Road partially closes the vista at the south-west end of Marine Parade.
