Description
Undercliff is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early to mid 19th century, with a structure shown on a plan of Lyme Regis and its surroundings from 1841. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three window bays and three box dormers. The building has a new slate gabled roof and a front made of blue lias ashlar, with long and short quoins and flanking stacks. The windows are sash with glazing bars above, while the ground floor has French casements with rectangular lights above. The entrance includes a six-panelled door with the top two panels glazed and a moulded archivolt. A glass verandah supported by wooden posts extends across the ground floor. Undercliff, along with Theos Cottage, Nos 6 and 7, and Westfield, forms a group with all the listed buildings in Cobb Terrace.
