Description

Grey Thatches is a house located in Alton Pancras, with the west part dating from the 17th century and the east part likely from the 19th century. The exterior is roughcast, although the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments mentions that the west side may be constructed of brick and rubble, while the east side is made of brick. The house features a thatched roof with a gable end on the right and a half-hip on the left, along with a brick stack positioned on the right side and another partway along the ridge on the left. The ground floor has openings with segmental heads, and the windows are 2-light casements that include horizontal glazing bars. There is a 20th-century door situated beneath a thatched porch.
