Description

Austral Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on the west side of Village Street in Alton Pancras. The building is rendered and colourwashed, featuring a hipped slate roof with rendered stacks at the rear. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a central 19th-century porch. Hipped dormers are present on the roof. Inside, the staircase is notable for its fluted newel posts, turned balusters, and a moulded handrail that ends in a scrolled knob with leaf enrichment.
