Description

Box Cottage is a cottage, possibly dating back to the 17th century, with the south end rebuilt in the 19th century. The walls are rendered, likely cob on the right and flint and brick on the left. The cottage has a gable-ended roof, thatched on the right and slated on the left. A brick outshut is located on the left side. The left part of the cottage features two-light casement windows with glazing bars. The right-hand part has a two-light casement with horizontal glazing bars below, and similar windows with leaded-lights above. A plain wooden door provides access. Internally, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
