Description
Nos 12 and 14 on Main Street are two attached cottages built in the mid to late 19th century. They feature random rubblestone walls with Broadmayne brick dressings around the doors and windows. The roofs are covered with asbestos slate, and there are brick stacks at both gable ends and at the ridge center. The cottages are two storeys high with four windows on the ground floor and three doors; the arrangement is three windows, a door, and three more windows on the first floor, with two windows, three windows, and two windows. The windows are wood casements with glazing bars and wood mullions, and the ground floor windows have cambered brick arches. Each cottage has a central plank door from the 19th century. These cottages are included for their group value.
