Description

The granary north of Manor Farmhouse is an 18th-century structure. It is built of red brick with some vitrified headers, arranged in garden wall bond. The granary features a substantial timber under-frame that is supported on staddle-stones. It has a pyramidal roof covered with clay plain tiles and overhanging eaves, and it is square in plan. Access is provided by a plank door, which is approached by 20th-century concrete steps. There is a small window and a later brick raking buttress on one side. The interior has not been inspected. This granary is a good example of a small 18th-century brick granary.
