Description
No. 49 St Mary Street is a wide front house located in Weymouth, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is rendered and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has four windows. The second floor has 12-pane sash windows set in plain reveals with stone sills, while the first floor has small two-light casement windows in reveals. These are situated above a moulded cornice and a very deep fascia that supports two shop fronts. The facade includes a plain mid plat band, a small modillion cornice, and a plain blocking course. There are lateral brick stacks on the building. The interior has not been inspected, but the facade is largely intact and relates well to other properties of a similar age in St Mary Street.
