Description
No. 50 St Mary Street is a house with a shop located at the end of a row and extending to St Edmund Street. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and has a rendered exterior with a roof that is not visible. The building has three storeys, featuring a one-window front and a four-window return. The ground floor includes a full-width 20th-century shop front that extends one bay to St Edmund Street. Architectural details such as a mid plat band, moulded cornice, blocking course, and parapet also extend around the return. The long return side has a blind light at the first and second floors, followed by 9 above 12-pane sashes, with modifications in the center bay of the top floor. On the ground floor, there is a plain sash window and a six-panel door set in an arched opening, along with a tripartite 8:12:8-pane sash window. The interior has not been inspected.
