Description
Arnold's Cottage, including the attached outbuilding on the west, is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century. It features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof, with brick end stacks. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road and has two storeys. A brick porch with a corrugated iron roof leads to a part-glazed panelled door. On the ground floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with vertical glazing bars, while the first floor has two similar windows that are slightly set into the roof. The attached outbuilding at the west end is of similar construction but is at a slightly lower level. There is also a lean-to extension at the rear made of brick, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. Inside, the main ground floor room features an 18th-century moulded cornice.
