Description

This is an early to mid-18th century detached farmhouse. It is constructed of ironstone walls, plastered on the front, with a tiled roof featuring stone eaves courses and a coped gable at the west end. Brick end stacks are present. The house is situated at an angle to the road and includes a brick gabled porch with a 20th-century part-glazed door. The front has three casement windows on both the ground and first floors, all with glazing bars. A single-storey lean-to extends from the west end, and a rear lean-to, previously a dairy range, is covered by a catslide roof.

The interior remains largely unaltered and includes 18th-century raised panel doors. A main ground floor room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintol, and the bedroom above this has 18th-century raised panelling along the fireplace wall. The staircase is constructed of solid timber baulks with planted treads, creating a cut-string effect.
