Description
These are brick garden walls enclosing the site of a former walled garden, likely dating from the 18th century. The walls originally served the Manor House, which has since been demolished. They surround the garden and divide it into two sections. The north-east wall follows a curved, serpentine plan. There are arched openings within the walls. A pair of gate piers, constructed from white brick and featuring projecting copings, are located in the south-east wall. Note that the adjacent property, "Walled Garden," a former gardener’s cottage, has undergone significant alterations and is not included in this listing.
