Description
Holly Cottage is a detached house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It appears to consist of two sections, with the western part being slightly later. The building features colourwashed brick walls and a half-hipped thatched roof, with brick stacks on the ridge. It has one storey and an attic. The porch is plastered and thatched, with a ledged door. On the ground floor, there is one casement window with glazing bars and three 20th-century casements. The attic includes three half-dormers, each with casements that have a central glazing bar. There are 20th-century flat-roofed extensions at the rear. Inside, the main ground floor room has a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and the remains of a bread oven, along with some exposed ceiling beams.
