Description

55 and 57 Salisbury Street are two-storey buildings dating from the 18th century to the early 19th century. No 55 features two windows, while No 57 has three. Both buildings have a common slate gabled roof and stone rubble fronts. They are fitted with two-light metal casements and wooden lintels, with the upper windows having segmental heads. No 55 has windows with small panes and shutters on the upper windows, and a modern rustic door. No 57 has a four-panel door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 47 and 49, which are associated with the Roman Catholic Church of St Edward the Martyr and Old Sarum.
