Description
19 and 20 Church Street are two buildings dating from the late 17th century, with No 20 specifically dated 1760. They are two storeys high with attics, constructed of painted brick and topped with a pantile roof. Each building features one sloped dormer. The front has four windows, which include double-hung sashes and fixed windows with one opening light. No 20 has two windows with flush frames, sashes that include glazing bars, and a door topped with an open pediment above a 'Gothic' glazed blocked fanlight. It also has a half-glazed door. There is a brick band between the storeys, and the windows of No 19 are adorned with brick flat arches. The buildings have painted brick rusticated quoins. No 19 includes a 19th-century wooden porch with reeded pilasters, a modern glass door, and an architrave. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 11 to 14, the Church of St Patrick, and Nos 18 to 22.
