Nos 1 and 2 White Cottages are likely of 17th century origin or earlier. They feature a steeply pitched pantile roof and are single-storey buildings, with their exteriors rendered and rough rendered, and repaired in brick. No 1 has two modern windows, while No 2 has three windows, two of which are modern. The gable end of No 1 displays exposed timbers. These cottages, along with Nos 1 to 4 White Cottages, form a group with Nos 2 to 6 and Nos 8 to 13 Salt Pan Well Steps.
