Description
3 and 4 White Cottages are two-storey buildings dating from around 1595, although the plaque on No 4 is not original. The cottages have a rough rendered exterior and a pantile roof with stone kneelers and gable ends. The ground floor features three irregular windows, mostly with modern glazing, while No 4 has a sliding sash window. On the first floor, there are two windows: one is a double-hung sash and the other is modern. Two brick chimneys are located at the gable ends. The entrance door has a small sloped hood supported by consoles. The cottages are now used as a single occupancy. Nos 1 to 4 White Cottages form a group with Nos 2 to 6 and Nos 8 to 13 Salt Pan Well Steps.
