Description

The wall flanking Salisbury Road and enclosing the grounds of Cann Lodge Hotel dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a coping that extends from Old Boundary Road to the house itself. The wall includes two set-back wings and two octagonal gate piers with crenellated parapets at the entrance to the grounds. At the right end, just before the house, there is a 4-centred archway, also with a crenellated parapet and crenellated octagonal buttresses.
