Description

The Lawns is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of Westbury. It is a two-storey structure with a four-window front, featuring a cement-rendered exterior and a slate gabled roof. The three right-hand window bays are grouped closely together. To the left, there is a modern Georgian doorway, and further left, a contemporary doorway with a moulded architrave, fluted frieze, and dentil pediment, with a taller window above it. The Lawns is part of a group that includes Stonedyke House, Winton, The Firs, gate piers and railings to Winton and The Firs, as well as railings and a gate before The Lawns and the Digby Estate properties numbered 229, 232, and 233.
