Description
The Digby Estate, built in 1625, consists of a row of two-storey cottages located on the east side of Westbury. The first cottage, No 229, was formerly Nos 229 and 230, with No 231 situated behind. The cottages feature patent pantile roofs. No 229 has a pebble-dash front with three windows above and two windows along with a 19th-century panelled door and doorhead below. Nos 232 and 233 have painted stone rubble fronts, with No 233 having one window bay and a flush panelled door, while No 232 has two window bays and a ledged door. The windows are wood casements, and there are three half-dormers on the row. The Digby Estate, along with Stonedyke House, Winton, The Firs, gate piers and railings to Winton and The Firs, and The Lawns, railings and gate before The Lawns, form a group.
