Description

Estcourt is a 17th-century building located on the east side of Westbury. It features a continuous roof span that connects with Dolphin House. The structure is two storeys high and has three window bays. The roof is gabled and covered with plaintiles. The front is roughcast with a stone plinth. There are two-light wood casements on the upper floor and three-light casements on the lower floor, with one on either side of the doorway. The entrance has a six-panel door set in reveals, with the upper four panels glazed and two reeded flush panels below. Estcourt is part of a group that includes Digby Estate Nos 251 to 255, Twyford, The Sherborne Do-it-Yourself Centre, Wessex Club, Digby Estate No 247, Sherborne Gallery, Westbury Studio, Dolphin House, and Brookfield.
