Description
Devonia House and Harley House are two adjoining, two-storey buildings located on the west side of Westbury, dating from the early 19th century. Each house features a stone rubble front with two windows. They have sash windows with segmental heads, flush frames, and intact glazing bars, along with slate roofs and one dormer each. The doorways have elliptical heads, flat archivolts, and projecting imposts. Harley House, on the left, has reeded detail on the doorframe, a six-panelled door with four fielded panels, a plain fanlight, and a footscraper in the reveals. Devonia House has a fanlight and a later wide six-panelled door. These buildings, along with the Britannia Inn and other nearby properties, form a cohesive group in the area.
