Description
The Royal Chase Hotel, located on Salisbury Road, is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is two storeys high with an attic and features three bays. The central bay projects slightly forward and has a triangular pediment, with a segmental headed dormer in the tympanum and a tall segmental headed window on the first floor. The front is finished in stucco and includes a moulded eaves cornice and parapet, along with a band. The other first-floor windows are three panes wide set in reveals. On the ground floor, there are two late 19th-century three-sided canted bays. Additionally, there is a later 19th-century glazed prostyle porch with a glazed door and sidelights, topped with an entablature and a semi-circular fanlight above.
