Description

The Globe Hotel is a late 18th century building that combines elements from various earlier structures. It features a long, two-storey facade with attics, finished in stucco. The building has a modillion cornice and a parapet. A notable feature is the two-storey splayed bay, which also has a modillion cornice that wraps around its rounded top. There are five sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a Doric porch. To the right of the main front, there are one-storey and two-storey projections. The roof is not visible from the street. The Globe Hotel is part of a group of listed buildings along Fore Street.
