Description
Holmdene is a late 18th-century building located on the southeast side of High Street. It is constructed of stucco and features three storeys with an attic, topped by a slate roof behind a parapet. The building has a single flat roof dormer.
On the ground floor, there is a doorway flanked by pilasters and topped with an open pediment that includes a semi-circular fanlight. This level also has two sash windows. The first floor features a sash window above the door and a three-light bow window made of sashes, which is adorned with a flat modillion cornice. The second floor has two sash windows, but all glazing bars are missing. The stucco exterior is painted green.
To the left, there is a two-storey section with one window, a parapet, and a ground floor carriage entrance. The rear of the building is four storeys high and has an irregular arrangement of sash windows, including a three-light bowed sash on the first floor.
Holmdene is part of a group of listed buildings along High Street, extending up to and including No. 118.
