Description

No. 9 High Street is a mid-18th century building that conceals an earlier 17th century timber-framed structure. The exterior features red brick with black headers and a rendered plinth, topped by a tiled roof that extends to the eaves. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three windows on the front. The central doorway on the ground floor is adorned with an open pediment and is flanked by three 3-pane sash windows with exposed casings. On the first floor, there are three additional 3-pane sash windows. The building also has two hipped roof dormers and a brick string course at the first-floor level. The rear is stuccoed and has one gable. Inside, the building features stop-chamfered beams. All the listed buildings on High Street up to and including No. 118 form a group.
