Description
Nos 12 and 12A on High Street are early 19th-century buildings, likely constructed with mathematical tiles painted or brick. They feature a slate roof with small paired modillions at the eaves. The buildings are three stories tall and two windows wide. The first and second floors have original moulded cases, although the sashes have been replaced with metal-frame casements. The ground floor originally housed an early 19th-century shop, which has been altered with plate glass and a new fascia, but remnants of the central pilastered doorcase with a cornice, now a window, can still be seen. These buildings are included for their group value, as they are part of a collection of listed buildings on High Street, extending up to and including No 118.
