Description

This is a small, 16th or early 17th century timber-frame cottage located on the High Street. The ground floor is painted brick, while the roof is steeply pitched with tile covering and gable ends. The cottage has two storeys and an attic. The ground floor has one three-light casement window with glazing bars. A 19th-century door is topped by a simple hood supported on shaped brackets. The first floor features one four-light casement window with glazing bars, with its sill resting on a small carved bracket. On the right-hand side, a narrow, gabled attic is tiled on its sides and rendered on the front, with a fixed window containing original green glass. A tile-hung wing extends to the rear. All buildings along the High Street from number 112 to 118 are grouped together for their group value.
