Description

Cromer House is a red brick house dated 1720, with burnt headers, located on Fore Street, Topsham. It is a building of group value alongside other listed buildings in the area. The house is three storeys high and originally had four windows, with a projecting one-window wing. The windows are recessed, with sash glazing bars and rubbed brick heads. A Tuscan doorcase, dating from approximately 1770, provides entry to a six-panel door with a fanlight above. A 19th-century shop front is present on the east side. The roof is covered with lead and concealed behind a parapet with Portland stone coping. An original staircase extends above the first floor.
