Description

The Cock and Bell Hotel is a late 18th-century building with a stuccoed front that conceals an earlier timber-framed and plastered structure. The façade features a parapet and cornice, along with painted stucco rusticated quoins. It has a four-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. At the southern end, there are two shallow canted bays that rise through two storeys. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door topped by a rectangular fanlight, framed by a stucco doorcase with pilasters and a cornice hood. A wing extends to the west at the southern end of the building. The roof is tiled and hipped at both the north and south ends.
