Description

Ty-Gwyn is a timber-framed and plastered house, with 18th century painted brick facing on the north and west sides. The building has two storeys and features two gables at the rear. It has a two-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. A raised brick band runs between the storeys. The entrance boasts an 8-panel door framed by a moulded shouldered architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a dentilled cornice. The roof is hipped and tiled, with a moulded eaves cornice that returns partway on the north side. A notable feature is an 18th century Sun Fire Insurance sign located on the front.
