Description

Thorpe House is an 18th-century house with a likely earlier timber-framed core. It has two storeys and a symmetrical two-window front. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars; the ground floor has paired windows. A central six-panel door is set within a doorcase featuring a cornice hood and moulded architrave, above a plain rectangular fanlight. The roof is tiled, with an eaves cornice decorated with modillion ornaments, and a 19th-century chimney stack constructed of gault brick. The front facade is plastered with rusticated quoins.
