Description

Barclays Bank and Long Melford Post Office is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the 18th century. The building features a plain parapet and is currently faced with roughcast. It has two storeys and a four-window range, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. At the south end, there are six-panel doors flanked by narrow pilasters and topped with dentilled cornices on brackets. The north end has a modern shop front. The roof is covered with old tiles.
