Long Melford HALL STREET (east side) Blythe House

(formerly listed as Blythes and Family Grocer, previously listed as House opposite Post Office and Barclays Bank)

GV II A C15 timber-framed and plastered hall house with cross wings on the north and south. A floor was inserted in the C16 or C17. Blythe House was renovated 1974. The cross wings are two storeyed and the centre block is one storey and attics. The centre block has casement windows with leaded lights and the cross wings have three-light double-hung sashes, without glazing bars on the first storey. The ground storey has C19 shop windows. Roofs tiled. The interior has exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams and joists.
