Description
Blythe House is a 15th-century timber-framed and plastered hall house located on Hall Street in Long Melford. It features cross wings on the north and south sides. A floor was added in the 16th or 17th century, and the building was renovated in 1974. The cross wings are two storeys high, while the central block is one storey with attics. The central block has casement windows with leaded lights, and the cross wings have three-light double-hung sash windows without glazing bars on the first storey. The ground storey includes 19th-century shop windows, and the roofs are tiled. Inside, the house showcases exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists.
