Description

This is a detached stables and barn block located 20 metres north of Lower Hewood Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. The building features rubble walls with brick quoins and dressings, and it has a slate roof with a lower hipped shingle roof at the west end. An external stair made of rubble-stone with brick treads provides access. The structure has plank doors and is built down the slope. It is included for its group value.
