Description

Hewood Farmhouse is a 16th or 17th century farmhouse. It is constructed of rubble walls, which have been plastered and washed, and has a thatched roof. There are three brick stacks, one at each gable and one situated just to the left of the front door. The house has two storeys and five windows with wooden frames and some leaded lights. The lower right-hand end of the building may have originally been a byre, and the central section may have contained the original hall, which has since been floored over.
