Description
The Round House is a detached cottage that once served as a lodge to Charborough Park. It was likely built in the early 19th century and features a "cottage orne" style. The original section has a circular plan with plastered walls and a thatched conical roof topped with an iron weather vane. The building is single-storey and includes five bull's eye windows, one of which is blocked, along with two plain casement windows. There is a verandah supported by timber posts. Later 19th-century additions are made of brick and have slate roofs, comprising both single-storey and two-storey sections, with a part-glazed entrance door and casement windows.
