Description
Lawrence Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It features dressed stone walls and a patent tile roof, which has stone gable copings and moulded kneelers. The building is topped with two 20th-century brick stacks and has a large external stone stack on the left gable wall, which has graduated diminishing stages. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four windows, all of which are 20th-century wooden casements with glazing bars. These windows are set beneath wooden lintels and stone arch voussoirs. The front door is located to the left of centre and is made of planks, studded and fitted with strap hinges. Inside, there is an unheated central room that features an open fireplace with stone jambs and a cambered wooden lintel, along with two keeping-places from the 18th century.
