Description

Church Farm and Church Farm Cottage is a detached farmhouse, dating back to the 17th century, with significant rebuilding and extensions in the 19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a plain tile roof and brick stacks built around 1900, located at the left-hand gable, right of centre, and right-hand gable. The facade is arranged with two storeys and five windows in total, with the earliest features at the south end. A four-light mullion window with four-centred heads is present, hollow-chamfered and with a separate label above. Coupled three-light mullions are hollow-chamfered and straight-headed, with a single label above. Stone mullions of four and five lights are found on the first floor, without labels. The remaining windows are 19th-century sash and casement styles. The central left-hand door has two long glass panels, dating to the 19th century, and a rectangular fanlight above. The central right-hand door features a plank with six glass lights over, with slightly chamfered jambs.
